Wardlaw + Hartridge Parents' Association

The WHPA enhances the academic, cultural and social experiences of our children and supports the school. Through fundraising we have supported a variety of assemblies and social events for students in all three divisions. We have also made significant contributions to capital campaigns as well as our very popular Mini Grant Program.

Through fundraising events and contributions from our families and community, we have been able to provide:

  • $60,000+ towards capital campaigns and Performing Arts Enhancements
  • $6,000-13,000 annually for Faculty Development
  • $10,000 annually for mini-grants to our teachers to enhance the classroom experience
  • $5,000 in mini-grants to student clubs/teams to supplement their fundraising efforts
  • $3,000 for assemblies for all grade levels
  • $4,000 for International Family Fun Night (our famous multi-cultural family event)
  • $3,000 for the Indie Film Festival
  • $22,000 for Graduations, Senior Portraits and Signs, concert receptions, Faculty appreciation, prom and class trip transportation and so much more!

Your involvement with and support of the WHPA will enable us to continue our mission and enhance the academic, cultural and social experiences of our children and their families in all three divisions of the school.

The Wardlaw+Hartridge Parents' Association hosted the faculty and staff members at the annual end of the year Appreciation Luncheon on June 7. After the final all-school meeting in the Center for Global Learning in the morning, faculty, staff and administrators enjoyed a delicious catered lunch in the AP Room. Following the lunch, Andrew Webster, Head of School, recognized departing faculty and staff members, including Jan Yates (pictured), Registrar and parent of W+H alumni Steven '14, Lauren '16 and Hannah '18, and Michelle Mottley, Lower School Learning Specialist, along with Upper School teachers Rich Fulco and Pete Golding. Thank you to the Parents' Association for providing a wonderful treat for our faculty and staff members.
On Thursday, May 31, The Wardlaw+Hartridge Parents' Association (WHPA) held its annual Appreciation Luncheon and Officer Installation Ceremony in the Oakwood Room. WHPA president Jen Schildge welcomed the parents and members of the administration in attendance. Mrs. Schildge thanked her fellow WHPA members for their hard work and assistance and cited all of the volunteers and other parents for their help in making so many things possible for our students. The WHPA presented a check for $23,000 to Andrew Webster, Head of School, and Bill Jenkins, Assistant Head of School for Institutional Advancement, supporting the new Berry Performing Arts Center, Wardlaw+Hartridge Fund, faculty professional development and endowment.
Parents, faculty, staff and friends enjoyed the opportunity to "Ignite the Night" at the annual Parents' Association Spring Gala, which was held Saturday night at the Bridgewater Manor. Guests enjoyed dinner, dancing, a Super 50/50 and other raffles, along with silent and live auctions filled with amazing items and experiences. Most popular auction items included front row seats to concerts and graduation ceremonies, dinners with the Headmaster and reserved parking spaces.
