Wardlaw + Hartridge Parents' Association

The WHPA enhances the academic, cultural and social experiences of our children and supports the school. Through fundraising we have supported a variety of assemblies and social events for students in all three divisions. We have also made significant contributions to capital campaigns as well as our very popular Mini Grant Program.

Through fundraising events and contributions from our families and community, we have been able to provide:

  • $60,000+ towards capital campaigns and Performing Arts Enhancements
  • $6,000-13,000 annually for Faculty Development
  • $10,000 annually for mini-grants to our teachers to enhance the classroom experience
  • $5,000 in mini-grants to student clubs/teams to supplement their fundraising efforts
  • $3,000 for assemblies for all grade levels
  • $4,000 for International Family Fun Night (our famous multi-cultural family event)
  • $3,000 for the Indie Film Festival
  • $22,000 for Graduations, Senior Portraits and Signs, concert receptions, Faculty appreciation, prom and class trip transportation and so much more!

Your involvement with and support of the WHPA will enable us to continue our mission and enhance the academic, cultural and social experiences of our children and their families in all three divisions of the school.

Marc Spivak, Director of Technology and Innovation, closed the program with a personal reflection of his father-in-law's story and how it epitomized the struggles of the common people that are often forgotten by those studying black history.
This has been an educational and successful year for the Wardlaw+Hartridge Upper School Model United Nations team. Under the leadership of President Neil Shah '21, Vice President Ryan Brace '20, and Secretary-Treasurer Rihan Sajid '21, the team has grown, both in size and in skill, with new delegates gaining an understanding of the ins and outs of not only Model UN, but real-world global political discourse and action.
On Friday, January 31, students in Mrs. Jean Castellano's Introduction to World Religion classes and members of the Global Scholars Program visited the New Jersey Buddhist Cultural Center in South Plainfield to learn about the Buddhist religion and the Lunar New Year celebration.
