Fifth Graders Graduate at Moving Up Ceremony

The fifth graders moved up to Middle School during the Fifth Grade Moving Up Ceremony on Tuesday, June 11 in the Berry Performing Arts Center.  Students said farewell to Lower School with family, friends and faculty and staff members in attendance.

The program began with the processional to "Prince of Denmark's March" and a flag salute before everyone joined in the singing of “God Bless America.” Andrew Webster, Head of School, provided a welcome for the guests in attendance 

Silvia Davis, Lower School Head, delivered remarks and the third and fourth grade sang “For Just a Little While.” The guests were entertained by a retrospective video presentation, prepared by Erin Maciorowski, Lower School technology specialist. Mr. Webster, Mrs. Davis and Lower School teachers Tim Head (fifth grade), Elizabeth Schultz (fifth grade) and Ellen Ritz (fourth grade) handled the presentation of certificates. 

A reception for fifth grade students, parents and guests followed in the front courtyard.
