W+H has a special place in my heart. There I learned that there are no boundaries. Now that I am taking rigourous courses in college, it is clear that W+H has prepared me exceptionally well. Many of the skills I learned at W+H, from time-management to a strong work ethic, are transferring over to Rice and are helping me tremendously. It is the culture of personal care at W+H that really makes it special; the environment fosters learning and encourages students to stretch beyond their comfort zones. Looking back, I could not have asked for a more valuable high school experience.

We have two full-time licensed professional school counselors available to work with our students and families with any social or emotional issues that arise. The School Counselors work with faculty and parents to determine how to best support each of our students as they grow-providing guidance on child/adolescent development and the student experience. Our goal is to ensure that our students have the skills and emotional tools to navigate an ever-changing world with a healthy sense of self.
