Day of Caring

Please join us for our Day of Caring on Wednesday, May 5. The pandemic has created many unexpected but necessary unforeseen expenses, and many of our campus enhancements were made possible because of The W+H Fund, which makes additional resources available. Your generosity has enabled us to stay open in person and offer a high-level remote experience for those who choose that option. We still need your help.

The commitment of our community members to support efforts to reopen campus for in-person instruction this year has made these precious opportunities possible:

· Faculty training. All teaching faculty engaged in a three-week intensive program to redesign courses for hybrid learning. The work done in this program has allowed teachers to pivot between in-person and distance instruction.

· Retrofitting and reimagining spaces. Classroom spaces were upgraded with enhanced 360-degree video technology, which allows students at home to interact meaningfully with peers and teachers at school.

· New outdoor classroom spaces were designed and built to offer more learning venues as we incorporated social distancing; these outdoor classrooms were used through early December and will be featured again in the spring.

· Significant signage was installed on walls, floors and doors to educate and remind all community members of our pandemic safety protocols.
