Rudy Brandl

W+H held its first golf outing in more than two decades on May 19 at Colonia Country Club. Twelve foursomes from the W+H community of parents, alumni and friends enjoyed a day of golf and good times together, capped by an afternoon reception. The day began with opening remarks from Head Pro Kevin Maciorowski, parent of W+H students Ryan ’26 and Gabby ’29, and a welcome from Andy Webster, Head of School.

The D’Amore family won the scramble tournament with a 9-under-par round of 63. The winning foursome included former trustee Anthony D’Amore, former W+H Parents’ Association president Tammy D’Amore, and alumni Nick D’Amore ’15 and Logan D’Amore ’20.

A foursome of friends with Chris Langrill, Pat Walsh, Steve Totin and Jeremy Pirnik finished just one stroke behind with a round of 64.

Other winners included three Closest to the Pin: Abul Nazir, parent of W+H students Anousheh ’27 and Alizeh ’31, on No. 6, alumnus Ryan Petela ’19 on No. 13 and Jeremy Pirnik on No. 16. Logan D’Amore ’20 belted the Longest Drive on No. 7 and Michael Carpetto ripped the Longest Drive on No. 18. Keith Kinsella prevailed in the putting contest.

The raffle winners were W+H head chef Anibal Rodriguez (iPad), Alejandro Picado (Titleist driver), husband of W+H Alumni Association president Katie Vetland ’02, and Bob Szczubelek (Round of Golf for 4 at Colonia CC), uncle of W+H students Charlotte ’26 and Ellie ’28.
