Faculty, Staff Active During In-Service Day

W+H faculty and staff members spent the Nov. 4 In-Service Day engaging in a series of professional development workshops, including Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB), Boundary Training, and Sustainability Curriculum Work. 

The day began with a hearty breakfast with members of the Board of Trustees in the AP Room. All faculty and staff met in the Berry Performing Arts Center for a presentation on The Law, Cultural Competency and Boundaries, by Stefani C. Schwartz, Esq. and Tiffany Taylor Smith, M.S.,Ed.

A mid-morning respite for recreational activities included karaoke, yoga, corn hole, ping pong and badminton. After the break, groups met in breakout sessions to engage in DEIB discussions to continue the monthly series of meetings.

The afternoon session included divisional sustainability meetings, followed by a spectacular assortment of desserts and a raffle for prizes in the AP Room. All meals and desserts were prepared by Sage Dining Services.
