Cheer
Cheerleading at Wardlaw+Hartridge is a winter sport where the team concept is central to developing routines that showcase the athleticism and spirit of our athletes. Cheer is open to girls on the middle school level, and to both boys and girls on the Upper School Varsity level. Ram cheer performs at boys’ and girls’ basketball games, contributing to the shared competitive experience of W+H sports. Varsity Cheer also sends a team to 4-5 competitions per year, usually toward the end of the winter season.
Ram cheerleaders have a dedicated practice space (formerly used as a stage for musical and theatrical productions). In addition to appreciating their teammates and the pursuit of excellence in each routine, Ram athletes know that Cheer helps them become stronger, more flexible, and more agile. Many athletes find that Cheer helps them perform better in their diverse list of fall and spring sports, and vice versa.
