Upper School Merit & Achievement Scholarships
The Wardlaw+Hartridge School offers two $12,500 merit scholarships and two achievement awards to qualifying incoming ninth grade applicants. An internal Scholarship Committee will select the students as scholarship and award recipients based on the criteria below. Please be sure you have completed your re-enrollment contract and sent your deposit for the upcoming school year to qualify for the scholarships.
Merit:
- Students must have maintained a GPA of A- or above in grade 7 and grade 8.
- Students’ ERB test score average must be in the 7th stanine or above for independent school norms.
- Students must exemplify strong character.
Achievement:
- Students must have maintained a GPA of B or above in grade 7 and grade 8.
- Students’ ERB test score average must be in the 5th stanine or above for independent school norms.
- Students must exhibit strong talent and leadership outside the classroom in the arts, athletics, or other extracurricular activities.
