J.C. Kellogg Foundation
Sixth Grade Scholarship

The Wardlaw + Hartridge School is pleased to offer one $12,500 merit scholarship to a qualifying incoming sixth grade applicant. The award is funded in part by a grant from the J.C. Kellogg Foundation. An internal Scholarship Committee will select the student as a scholarship and award recipient based on the criteria below.

The Barbara Husted Integrity Award

  • Given annually to a student entering The Wardlaw+Hartridge School between grades 9-11.
  • Applicants will be asked to write a letter reflecting on a time that they had to choose a course of action that reflects integrity.
  • The amount of the award will be 50% of tuition and the award winner will receive the award annually through graduation or departure from the school, assuming they remain in good academic and disciplinary standing.
  • Students who demonstrate financial need in excess of 50% of tuition may apply for additional need-based aid through the school’s financial aid process.

All scholarship candidates must take the ISEE or SSAT exam.

Please note that families of academic scholarship or achievement award recipients will be notified when they receive their admission letter. These awards are not need-based, and scholarship or achievement award winners may also qualify for need-based aid.

If you wish to be considered for a scholarship or achievement award, please contact the Gerard Gonnella, Director of Admission and Financial Aid, either at (908) 754-1882 Ext. 156 or via e-mail at grgonnella@WHschool.org or admission@WHschool.org.
