Thank You for Your Contributions

The Spring Gala was a festive 1920’s themed party that was masterfully executed by our WHPA and Advancement Team. Thank you to all that contributed to making that Saturday evening such a special night. Coming together for the express purpose of securing financial support for the advancement of the school is important and critical work.

I want to thank many of you that support our school with your time and tireless volunteer work as we all recognize that the day-to-day running of a school truly takes a village. There is nothing more powerful than an entire learning community thoughtful about the children in their care and collectively focused on our Mission:

The Wardlaw+Hartridge School prepares students to lead and succeed in a world of global interconnection. We provide an educational atmosphere characterized by academic challenge, rigorous inquiry, support for individual excellence, diversity, and a familial sense of community.

I put this mission in front of us for you to consider various ways that you can contribute to the life of the school through this lens. New and prospective families know that I bring up this topic when we have our first meet and greet interview. As we consider mission appropriate students and parents in joining our community, I often ask them straight out how they may see themselves contributing to our learning community by sharing their talents.

Advancement work in schools comes in many forms. Giving of one’s precious time or talent is so important. Finally, I want to thank all of you who helped contribute to our school with treasure - your valuable donations truly support our work for our students at Wardlaw+Hartridge!

My wife Christina and I enjoyed our first W+H Spring Gala. It was great to see many of you dressed in your 1920’s festive gear. The small community feel was a welcome change from what we have been used to in huge Annual Fund Balls in hotel banquet halls with black ties and formal gowns. There were definitely no stuffy shirts at this affair!

Thank you for all your efforts in giving your valuable time, talent and treasure to our collective efforts for our children at our school. Below you will see a list of generous donors that bid and won various Lower School prizes.
