W+H Running Food Drive for MLK Day

Rudy Brandl

In celebration of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., The Wardlaw+Hartridge School is holding a food drive. Although the pandemic has prevented us from hosting our fourth annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service on campus, we remain committed to supporting his dreams of friendship, peace, love, equal opportunity and unity.

We are collecting food donations for Hands of Hope, a nonprofit food pantry located in Edison, NJ and Starfish, a nonprofit food pantry located in Plainfield, NJ. Some items that are needed include: canned vegetables, fruit, beans, canned stews and soups with meat, canned tuna, cereal, oatmeal, granola bars, pasta, rice, boxed macaroni and cheese, 100% Juice (in plastic bottles or juice boxes), peanut butter and jelly, boxed cake, brownie or cookie mix.

Please join us as we combat food insecurity and help others in our community. Please send donations to school by no later than Tuesday, January 19.
