W+H community members of all ages enjoyed perfect weather, fun and exciting games, great food and camaraderie at the Booster Club’s Spring Fest on May 1. Students rotated through various game stations including softball pitch-it, baseball home run derby, fencing, crazy golf, tennis volley and basketball free throws, as well as different soccer and track options. Many also participated in the Lamb Run and Ram Run and visited the Face Painting and Selfie Station.
The Booster Club grill was well positioned between the varsity softball field and tennis courts, where the Rams competed in varsity athletic events. W+H physical education teacher Lee Nicholls orchestrated a robust array of activities and games for the community to enjoy. Booster Club president Jess Nicholls and fellow officers Kerry O'Neill, Shakti Jha and Erin Maciorowski played integral roles in the organization of the day.
“This was one of the best athletic events I have witnessed in a very long time,” W+H athletic director Mike Romeo said. “The energy on our campus today was something special — a genuine sense of community was on full display, and that is what made it truly memorable.”
