The Upper School musical production of Newsies entertained audiences throughout a successful weekend run from March 7-9 in the Berry Performing Arts Center. Outstanding vocals, energetic and acrobatic dancing, and precise execution behind the scenes created a wonderful experience for the patrons who filled the PAC to near capacity for all three performances.
Julia Machado ’25 completed a stellar W+H stage career in the starring role of Jack Kelly. Other leading players included Aarya Patel ’25 as Katherine Plumber, Kate Clemetson ’25 as Crutchie, Giannalise Rodriguez ’26 as Davey, Jackson Mannino ’28 as Les and Ishani Shah ’26 as Medda Larkin. The rest of the cast included Severian Ekong-Reid ’27, Devin Virdi ’28, Britton Gehl ’28, Jessie Grimes ’25, Mo Jha ’26, Emily O’Neill ’27, Cian Nicholls ’25, Jayda Richter ’27, Anousheh Nazir ’27, Tommy O’Connor ’25, Al-Hammed Bell ’25, Saadia St. Victor ’27, Giselle Rodriguez ’25, Liany Maldonado ’25, Victoria Diaz ’27, Kamila Franco ’25, Nia Clark ’25, Shweta Saravanan ’28, Em Rothrock Steinfeld ’25, Aadya Jha ’27, Zoe Edwards Smith ’27, Shiloh Sharma ’28, Talia Levy ’28, Joy Patel ’28 and Alex Nappi, PAC manager.
