Upper School students provided another memorable evening of entertainment at the 17th annual Cookin’ Cabaret in the AP Room on May 21. Twenty-four acts, including two ensemble performances, delivered vocals, instrumentals and poetry.
The Concert Choir boys opened the show with Fly Me to the Moon by Bart Howard, MadJazz performed Radiohead’s Let Down midway through the set list, and the full Concert Choir finished the night with Higher Love by Will Jennings and Steve Winwood.
Individual performance highlights included vocal and instrumental renditions to favorites by stars including Demi Lovato, Lady Gaga, Laufey, Train, Olivia Rodrigo, Carrie Underwood, ABBA, and the Eagles. There were also four raffle drawings with an array of door prizes for the patrons to enjoy.
Mrs. Sharon Byrne, the Performing Arts Department Chair who inaugurated this event 17 years ago, saluted the seniors and all performers after the show.
