Energy and emotion were in the air during the Upper School Spring Concert on May 1 in the Berry Performing Arts Center. Instrumentalists and singers performed with precision and flair, providing a solid 90 minutes of entertainment for an appreciative audience.
Highlights included the Concert Band’s performance of The Mandalorian, the MadJazz vocal rendition of Skyfall, the Jazz Band’s upbeat Pass the Hot Sauce featuring many amazing solos, and the Concert Choir’s She Used to Be Mine with outstanding vocal solos.
The Combined Concert Band and Concert Choir closed the show with a memorable performance of Defying Gravity from Wicked during which both ensembles played off each other’s energy with masterful conducting from Mrs. Sharon Byrne (choir) and Mr. Tim Burke (band).
Fifteen seniors in the Class of 2025 were presented with roses to commemorate their final W+H concert performance: Jason Cheng, Nia Clark, Kate Clemetson, Kamila Franco, Daniel Grimes, Jessie Grimes, Vinay Karthik, Noah Kornfeld, Jini Looney, Julia Machado, Cian Nicholls, Tommy O’Connor, Aarya Patel, Caleb Rothrock Steinfeld and Archish Vadlamannati.
