The Wardlaw+Hartridge School held its annual World Language Honor Societies induction ceremony on April 28 in person in the Berry Performing Arts Center. Parents, faculty and friends joined in the festivities, which began with a breakfast in the PAC lobby.
Hua Liu, World Language Department Chair, delivered the welcome, which was followed by the Introduction to the Honor Societies, Candle Ceremony and Honor Society Oaths. Spanish teachers Maggie Reiter and Claudia Gonzalez and Latin teacher Nick Pelullo also participated in the ceremony.
Seniors also served as leaders and hosts in the presentation: Master of Ceremonies Shiv Tickoo ’22, Introduction speakers Nicole Sandrik-Arzadi ’22 (Spanish), Rose Kassam ’22 (Latin) and Andrew Bao ’22 (Chinese), Candle Ceremony leaders Junior Alvarenga ’22 (Knowledge), Aarush Dharayan ’22 (Scholarship), Masoma Zaidi ’22 (Character), Izabel Korycki (Service) and Zin Yu Huang ’22 (Leadership) and Honor Society Oaths presenters Junior Alvarenga ’22 (Spanish), Zachary Brzosko ’22 (Latin) and Faizah Naqvi ’22 (Chinese).
