Seniors Share Stories, Journeys in Speeches

Rudy Brandl '83

Congratulations to Luis Perez ’26 and Ryan Maciorowski ’26 for sharing their stories and the important things that have fueled their journeys during Senior Speeches on Oct. 23 in the Berry Performing Arts Center.

Luis (pictured) spoke about the importance of laughter and how it can turn a bad day into one worth remembering. He called laughter a “supernatural force” that has the ability to create genuine connections, alleviate a difficult situation and make lasting memories.

Ryan shared his concern for “being normal” and how it has evolved as he’s grown up at W+H since enrolling in second grade. He’s learned to become less focused on fitting in as his confidence in expressing himself and trying new things has increased with maturity.
