Seniors Make Impact During Service Outings

Rudy Brandl '83

Seniors in the Class of 2025 continued their tradition of community service in late spring by participating in three trips over a two-week span at various locations across New Jersey. Nicole Nolan, Director of Global Programs and Community Outreach, coordinated the senior community engagement days and is grateful for the support of the Upper School faculty chaperones who assisted the students.

This year, the senior class went to The Community Food Bank of NJ in Hillside on May 22, Grow A Row in Clinton on June 2 and Branch Brook Park in Newark on June 5. These events were supported by the W+H Upper School faculty members, who completed service alongside the students.

Ms. Amy Kate Byrne and Mr. Nicholas Pelullo assisted at the food bank, Mrs. Annie Pengue worked with students at Grow a Row and Mr. Kevin Fette helped oversee students planting and clearing the pollinator garden at Branch Brook Park. Thank you to all of our seniors and faculty members for continuing to spread the culture of service that has been cultivated at Wardlaw+Hartridge.
