The students in Miss Ellen Colandrea’s second grade class wanted to share some love with the residents of the Complete Care Woodlands senior facility in Plainfield for Valentine’s Day. Following guidelines outlined by Ms. Terry Miller, Director of Therapeutic Recreation, the children created Valentine bear bags and filled them with candy and positive messages written by the students. With no outside visitors or group activities permitted right now, it is a particularly challenging time for the residents. Miss Colandrea and her second graders hope a sweet treat and some words of encouragement will help to brighten their days. The class is excited about planning future projects for their new “friends!”
