Students in grades 6-8 provided a wonderful evening of musical entertainment at the Middle School Winter Concert on Dec. 11 in the Berry Performing Arts Center.
Nine ensembles performed, including bands and choirs at all three grade levels in addition to the Middle School Jazz Band, Vocal Ensemble and Combined Choirs. Highlights included the Eighth Grade Choir’s rendition of Sleigh Ride featuring solos by Logan Celentano ’30 (whip) and Sasha Buezo ’30 (jingle bells), the Seventh Grade Band’s performance of Pure Imagination, the Sixth Grade Choir’s Under the Winter Moon and the Vocal Ensemble’s I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing. The Combined Choirs closed the evening with a powerful message in their performance of Be a Light.
Congratulations to vocal music instructors Mrs. Sharon Byrne and Mrs. Shannon Sari and band director Mr. Tim Burke for their expert guidance of the student musicians!
