Middle School Recognizes Bully Prevention Month

Rudy Brandl '83

Middle School students and faculty acknowledged Bully Prevention Month by wearing orange on Wednesday, Oct. 23. At their divisional community meeting that day, the students received an informative and interactive presentation from school counselors Dina Congregane and Christina Jackson.

Ms. Congregane and Ms. Jackson shared slides with statistics and information about bullying. They invited the Middle School students to answer questions and contribute to a lively discussion in front of their peers. Topics covered included types of bullying, where bullying takes place, what to do if you're being bullied, what to do if you witness bullying, and barriers to reporting bullying.

After the presentation, all students who participated in the orange dress down day in recognition of Bully Prevention Month gathered for a group photo on the stage of the Berry Performing Arts Center.
