Lower School teachers recently engaged in an enjoyable and important community service activity after school. The teachers created blankets to continue an ongoing, yearlong Lower School project supporting the Edison Animal Shelter.
W+H parents donated blankets during Winter Break and the Lower School teachers cut and knotted them into little blankets for the animals. Different grade levels have been leading various activities to support the shelter, including a Barksgiving drive for pet food and supplies, and making dog biscuits. Future initiatives being planned include creating dog toys and another food drive in the spring.
