Lower School Students Provide Festive Winter Break Sendoff

Rudy Brandl '83

Winter holiday magic was in the air at Friday’s Lower School Winter Concert in the Berry Performing Arts Center. Students from PreK(3) to Grade 5 entertained an audience of parents, faculty and friends with an impressive array of tunes in a perfect sendoff to Winter Break.

The show opened with our youngest performers in PreK and JK taking the risers for three songs, including Thankful for So Much. The Fourth Grade Band made its performance debut with Hot Cross Buns and Rolling Along and the Fifth Grade band played Old MacBingo, the theme from William Tell Overture. Grade level vocal highlights included Winter Cocoa “Rap” by grades 2-3, Thank You for Being You by grades K-1 and Hope is the Thing With Feathers by grades 4-5. All Lower School students joined to present the Reading Rainbow Theme for the finale.

Congratulations to vocal music teacher Mrs. Shannon Sari and band director Mr. Tim Burke for their patience and guidance in preparing our young musicians!
