Lower School Students Continue Hope 4 Paws Fundraiser

Rudy Brandl '83

Lower School students are continuing their division wide effort to support Hope 4 Paws and the Plainfield Humane Society. Third-grade teacher Ms. Katherine Heiss and second-grade teacher Mrs. Jennifer Molloy, who are organizing the drive, recently collaborated with their students to lead a “fake bake sale” to raise money for the cause. Parents donated goods and the Sage Dining Services team was kind enough to bake muffins. Students, faculty and staff bought items and made donations to amass a whopping total of $811.78, which will be added to the other funds raised for a check presentation in June.

Other initiatives contributing to this yearlong effort include PreK creating a pet supply basket to raffle, JK making an animal themed book basket to raffle and grades 1 and 4 making posters for a $2 dress down fundraiser. All grades from PreK(3)-5 are participating and the drive will culminate in a special assembly presentation at the end of the school year.
