Seven Lower School students amplified their division’s April core value focus of sustainability and provided an early celebration of Earth Day with a special presentation at the Lower School Assembly on April 4 in the Berry Performing Arts Center. The seven Lower School students, who are Save Drop Ambassadors, took the initiative to share information about this nonprofit organization and what they have learned about saving water at school and home.
Save Drop Ambassadors Riya Chaturvedi ’32, Aanvi Shresta ’32, Zoya Raza ’32, Abram Raza ’36, Harmehak Kaur ’35, Kiara Vijay ’35 and Akira Vijay ’32 put together the slideshow that portrayed some of the posters they created. They also shared a poem and two video commercials for which they wrote the scripts.
“We are proud to highlight the amazing efforts and commitments of students in our community who are taking action to care for our one and only planet, Earth,” said Lower School Spanish teacher Maria Hinestroza, who provided the introduction for the presentation. “Their parents are very supportive of all their initiatives. They are encouraging everybody to be Water Saving Heroes.”
