The Class of 2027 visited the 9/11 Memorial and Museum on Thursday, March 12. Students experienced a guided tour led by a museum docent and learned about the violence of the event, 9/11's historical context, the actions taken that day to save lives and remembrance of the victims. Trip leader Dr. Raechel Lutz was joined by fellow chaperones Mr. Kevin Fette, Ms. Amy-Kate Byrne, Mr. Jeff Martin, Ms. Hua Liu and Mr. Tony Diaz.

“The trip was very impactful and a great experience, and being in the museum was very touching,” Deanna Nicholls ’27 said. “The museum had many artifacts from the attack and it felt very personal. After our tour we were allowed to roam around ourselves and look at things in closer detail. The impact of this trip was very significant and I’m glad the school gave us the opportunity to take a day into the city and experience a lot while learning about what happened on September 11, 2001.”
