Fourth Graders Explore and Learn Outdoors

Rudy Brandl

The fourth-grade classes of Mrs. Ellen Ritz and Mrs. Lisa Greenberg took advantage of the beautiful November weather and ventured outdoors for a day of fall fun and exploration last Friday. Some called it a “Staycation” and others described it as a “Fall Fun Day.”

It was a day of bonding and informal learning that included planting in the Lower School garden, observing conifers and deciduous trees, and walking through the Nature Trail, where the class had a science lesson that featured looking at various plans and trees both dead and alive. The students also ate lunch outside and enjoyed some time to play.
