Fifth-grade students performed four classic Greek stories in the annual Greek Play Festival on April 11. A robust fifth-grade class allowed groups of students to present four 10-12 minute plays in Mrs. Elizabeth Stillman’s classroom.
The featured stories were Theseus and the Minotaur, Perseus and the Gorgon, Jason and the Golden Fleece, and The Trojan War. The students worked for six weeks to adapt their stories into scripts, create props and costumes, and prepare to stage their performances for their biggest fans - their Kindergarten buddies. The Greek plays are always one of the highlights of the fifth-grade experience at Wardlaw+Hartridge.
