Fifth graders and their teacher, Mrs. Liz Stillman, enjoyed their traditional end-of-year field trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Friday, May 19. On this annual expedition, students celebrate the end of their year-long study of ancient civilizations with a guided tour of the Greek and Roman art wing and independent exploration of the Egyptian wing. On their tour, students enjoyed interactive activities such as exploring materials used to make statues and sketching an ancient Roman chariot. They ended the day, as always, at the Met's famous Egyptian temple reconstruction.
