The Middle School and College Counseling offices hosted a special information session for eighth grade families titled Pathway to College on Sept. 25 in the Oakwood Room. Eighth grade parents learned more about the college admission landscape and what to expect from the W+H College Counseling Team to prepare them for the next step during their Upper School years.
Sarah Honan, Director of College Counseling, shared a very informative presentation with the parents and students. Topics covered included application trends in recent years, strengthening student candidacy, standardized testing, the importance of authenticity in applications, elements of a strong application, guiding principles and overview of the W+H college counseling program, and how parents can support their students.
