Congratulations to Bobby Bao ’27, who organized a team of international students and earned an Honorable Mention at the High School Mathematical Contest in Modeling (HiMCM), under the guidance of Dr. Mimi Tsuruga, Upper School math teacher. Bobby is pictured with Dr. Tsuruga in her classroom.
HiMCM is an international competition that challenges high school students to collaborate as a team while strengthening their mathematical modeling, problem-solving and written communication skills. The contest problems are intentionally designed to be accessible using the mathematics taught at the students’ current level, while still demanding creativity, persistence and analytical thinking.
“I extend my sincere gratitude to Dr. Tsuruga for her mentorship and a huge congratulations to the students for their dedication, teamwork and impressive achievement,” said Ms. Safia Hadam, W+H Math Department Chair. “We are incredibly proud of Bobby's hard work and success.”
