Through school-sponsored and faculty-supervised trips, Wardlaw-Hartridge students have had opportunities to experience educational trips to destinations such as China, Italy, France, Peru, and Spain.
Wardlaw-Hartridge School teachers also chaperoned a week-long tour of Italy. Students spent time in Rome, Pompeii, Sorrento, and Capri, and walked through the Forum, the Colosseum, the Vatican, and many other famous historical structures.
Two of The Wardlaw-Hartridge School's Mandarin teachers supervised students on a 10-day trip to China. The students visited many great landmarks including the Great Wall of China, Tiananmen Square, the Summer Palace, and the Forbidden City.

Guatemala & Belize
Wardlaw-Hartridge students and chaperones visited Guatemala and Belize on summer service learning trips in 2015 and 2016. Their 2015 work in Guatemala included building a walkway and gate and painting steps and the gate at a school in the village of Las Vinas. In 2016, they worked with local men and youthful volunteers to rebuild a basketball court by breaking up concrete, sorting and moving stones and hauling sand and gravel. The students and chaperones bond with homestay families and tour beautiful landscapes. These trips offer wonderful bonding and team building opportunities.
In return, the exchange students from Altair Colegio spend two weeks as part of the Wardlaw-Hartridge community. In addition to attending classes and participating in the daily activities of the Wardlaw-Hartridge School, the visitors travel to New York City and Washington D.C. during their stay.Two of the Wardlaw-Hartridge School's Spanish teachers lead a group on the first half of an exchange trip to Madrid, Spain. Students stay with host families, and attend classes while connecting with their new Spanish friends. They also have time to enjoy sightseeing in places such as Cordoba, Sevilla, Granada, Toledo, and Madrid.
