Q: What is the current enrollment?

Currently, 460 students are enrolled PreK through Grade 12, in Early Childood, Lower School, Middle School, and Upper School.

Q: What does Wardlaw + Hartridge look for in candidates for admission?

Wardlaw+ Hartridge values candidates who can thrive in curriculum designed for their age. Early childhood applicants will grow with our hands-on experiential learning. Candidates applying to our lower, middle, and upper school should have a strong desire to achieve in the classroom and be committed to learning and developing their extracurricular interests and activities. We enroll students from a wide range of socioeconomic, geographic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds. We encourage applicants to apply who have the skills, abilities and potential to take advantage of the opportunities the school and its community provide. Our goal is to enroll students from a wide range of backgrounds who share the values and mission of our school. We are interested in meeting each prospective candidate and personally getting to know you.

Q: How diverse is the student population at Wardlaw-Hartridge?

Wardlaw + Hartridge is characterized by its extraordinarily diverse student body. There is no majority group. Q: When should I apply to The Wardlaw + Hartridge School?

Applications for our priority deadline will be accepted from October 1 through February 1. After February 1, we move into rolling admission and will review applications depending upon the availability of space in the grade.

Q: Do you accept international students?

Yes. Over the past 7 years, we have enrolled students from Japan, China, Korea, Ghana, India and continue to grow our program. To learn more visit the international student page.

    Before and Aftercare for Pre-K , JK, and K is included in tuition.

Q: What kind of before and extended day care do you offer?

Early Morning Drop Off

Parents may drop off their children in the library starting at 7:30 a.m. The students will be supervised and then escorted to their classrooms at 8am. There is no charge for this early drop off.

Explorers - Grades Pre-K, JK and K

A daily after school enrichment program for children in Pre-K, Junior Kindergarten, and Kindergarten is available from 3-5 p.m. and takes place in the Early Childhood classrooms. Before and Aftercare will be included in tuition for Pre K, JK, and Kindergarten.

ENCORE - Grades 1 - 8

ENCORE is our after school program available for students in grades 1 through 8. It is a safe and supervised environment for students to work on homework, enjoy a snack, participate in enrichment programs, socialize and play with friends, and much more. ENCORE is available from 3:00 - 6:30 p.m. The charge for ENCORE is $5 per half-hour or any part of the half-hour. Both Explorers and ENCORE can be used as needed. Please be sure to inform your child's teacher on the days they will attend.

Q. Where do Wardlaw + Hartridge students come from?

Our students come from over forty different towns and three other countries.

Q: Whom should I contact with questions about transportation?

Q: Is there a school dress code?

For PreK, Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten, there is no dress code. Children should dress comfortably. Our dress code begins in First Grade.
