Wardlaw-Hartridge Parents' Association

The WHPA enhances the academic, cultural and social experiences of our children and supports the school. Through fundraising we have supported a variety of assemblies and social events for students in all three divisions. We have also made significant contributions to capital campaigns as well as our very popular Mini Grant Program.

Each Year through fundraising events and contributions from our families and community, we are able to provide more than  $100,000 for the following:

  • $60,000+ towards capital campaigns – currently Performing Arts Enhancements
  • $13,000 yearly towards Faculty Development
  • $10,000 in mini-grants to our teachers to enhance the classroom experience
  • $5,000 in mini-grants to student clubs/teams to supplement their fundraising efforts
  • $4,000 for various assemblies for all grade levels
  • $4,000 for International Family Fun Night (our famous multi-cultural family event)
  • $4,000 for the Indie Film Festival
  • $22,000 for Graduations, Senior Portraits and Signs, concert receptions, Faculty appreciation, prom & class trip transportation and so much more!

Only with your help can we continue to provide for all these important items.

On Thursday, June 8, The Wardlaw-Hartridge Parents' Association (WHPA) held its annual Appreciation Luncheon and Officer Installation Ceremony in the Oakwood Room. WHPA president Kevin Kornecki welcomed the parents and members of the administration in attendance. Mr. Kornecki thanked his fellow WHPA members for their hard work and assistance and cited all of the volunteers and other parents for their help in making so many things possible for our students.
Parents, faculty and staff members and friends sported their finest Denim and Diamonds at the annual Wardlaw-Hartridge Parents' Association Spring Gala on April 8 at The Ellora. Many guests embraced the fashionable theme and enjoyed a night out with the W-H community. The evening included the traditional live and silent auctions, mystery wine pull, 50/50 raffle and mystery box raffle. Mobile bidding gave the silent auction an interesting new twist. Proceeds from the event will support the new Performing Arts Center.
Dawn Francavilla, Director of Student Life, delivered a Hot Topics presentation about The Wardlaw-Hartridge School's community service program at the conclusion of the Parents' Association Meeting on March 9. Ms. Francavilla discussed the many ways in which W-H students in all three divisions become involved in community service, volunteering and service learning. She provided many examples of service opportunities and emphasized the importance of students becoming involved.
