Thanks to the Wardlaw-Hartridge Parents' Association Mini-Grant for Reach the World, the second grade has been partnered with a traveler/university student in Japan. The students have been communicating via email and journals over the last few weeks and will continue to do so through March.
"We are learning so much about life in Japan, including details about the country, city and countryside, culture, food, and differences and similarities between the USA and Japan," said Mrs. Kelly Cannizzo, second grade teacher.
The students asked their new friend Jeanette many questions about life in Japan and learned many interesting facts during a very exciting morning.
