A Lasting Tribute to our Beloved Colleague, Teacher and Friend.

Anyone connected to the school for a significant period of time knows the name of Bob Vietor, and many of you knew the man himself. Bob was a legendary teacher and coach. He taught most every subject and coached many sports during his fifty-year career at Wardlaw, and then Wardlaw-Hartridge. He was hired in 1952 by Pop Wardlaw himself and was still employed at Wardlaw-Hartridge at his death in the fall of 2001. At that time, many people created a memorial book that details his impact on their lives and many contributed to an endowment fund in his name. Those who knew him may deny that he had a soft voice, despite his love of opera, but I know for many it does indeed vibrate in the memory.
Alumni Swim Meet

The Alumni Swim Meet held was held on Saturday, January 12. Three brave alumni put forth a stellar performance against the W-H Varsity team. It looked like it would be a sure defeat for the three swimmers, Jim Stein '68, Michael Sidun' 94, and Donald Sidun '01. The alumni were shocked to see that they won the first event. When the won the second, they felt they had a chance but it was getting harder to breathe and they were getting tired. After the third event, the winners went back and forth between the two teams. Races included the 100 free, 50 fly, 200 I. M., 100 back relay, 100 medley relay and 200 medley relay.
2007-2008 Annual Fund

The 2007-2008 Annual Fund Drive is well underday with less than 4 months left to reach our goal!  This year's goal is $325,000.  As with any independent school, Wardlaw-Hartridge needs the support of its alumni, parents, and friends to continue to provide an educational atmosphere that is characterized by academic challenge and support for individual excellence.

For 125 years, Wardlaw-Hartridge students have been supported by the generosity of the entire school community and now you can help carry on this tradition.

The Annual Fund helps to provide innovative teaching programs, technology upgrades, fine and perfroming arts programs, clubs and leadership opportunities and much more.

Please consider a gift to the 2007-2008 Annual Fund and help continue to provide a quality education to students for the next 125 years.  Remember you can give online:  https://support.whschool.org  Thanks, in advance, for your generosity and support.
