Three Seniors Named Bloustein Scholars

Susan Swenson, Director of College Counseling, announced Monday morning that seniors Lotus Cannon '10, Katie Lee '10 and Devi Mody '10 have been named Edward J. Bloustein Distinguished Scholars for the 2010-2011 collegiate academic year by The Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA) of the State of New Jersey.
International Family Fun Night Is Around the Corner: Your Ideas Needed!

The Wardlaw-Hartridge Parents' Association (WHPA) is taking suggestions for food, international entertainment, crafts and more for its International Family Fun Night on Friday, January 21. The popular, multi-cultural event will be held in the AP Room from 6 to 9 p.m.

Alumni Panel Imparts Valuable Advice to Juniors, Seniors

Not so long ago, Mark Badalamenti '08, Chris Georgevich '09, Manish Kewalramani '09, Amanda Mosner '09 and Doug Pivnichny '07 were grappling with the stresses of applying to college and transitioning from Wardlaw-Hartridge into a brave new world. They returned to W-H on Tuesday, January 5, to share what they have learned about the college selection process since their graduation with juniors and seniors during Alumni College Day in Upper Snowdon Library.
Jake Rothstein '20 Organizes Holiday Collection for Angel PAWS at Barron Arts Center


In the spirit of the season of giving, Jake Rothstein '20, a second-grader, organized a holiday collection for Angel PAWS, a 501(c)(3), non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to relieving the suffering of and finding permanent homes for stray, abandoned and homeless animals.

Volunteers Needed for WHPA's Annual Book Fair

The Wardlaw-Hartridge Parents' Association seeks volunteers for its Annual Book Fair. The set-up for the event is Wednesday, January 20, and the fair will be open on Thursday, January 21 and Friday, January 22. To read a letter from the WHPA, please click here.

Wardlaw-Hartridge Basketball Teams Compete in Tournaments During Winter Break

During the winter break, The Wardlaw-Hartridge Boys' Varsity Basketball team and The Wardlaw-Hartridge Girls' Varsity Basketball team put their skills to the test during two tournaments on December 29 and 30. The boys competed in the 2009 East Brunswick Holiday Tech Tournament and the girls participated in the Third Annual Ernie Vajda Memorial Basketball Tournament at Wardlaw-Hartridge.

Dr. Leonard Carlucci, Current Parent, Leads WHPA Hot Topic Forum

On Thursday, January 7, current parent Dr. Leonard Carlucci was the guest speaker during the Wardlaw-Hartridge Parents' Association's Hot Topics forum. A chiropractic physician and the father of Marisa '12 and Lorianna '13, he spoke on the theme: "Protecting Your Greatest Wealth - Your Health."
WHPA Collects Box Tops for Education!

The Wardlaw-Hartridge Parents' Association, which collects Box Tops from General Mills products, recently received $120.00 from a recent collection of the box tops. We hope to collect many more! Each box top is worth 10 cents and the collection of these box tops helps purchase materials for the school. Box tops can be be mailed to the attention of Susan Howard, Lower School art teacher at The Wardlaw-Hartridge School, 1295 Inman Avenue, Edison, NJ 08820 or dropped off in Mrs. Howard's mailbox in the Faculty Lounge. For more information on the Box Tops For Education program, click here.
