The Wardlaw-Hartridge Spirit Week begins on Monday, October 19 and ends on Friday, October 23 with the Pep Rally at 2:15 p.m. in Laidlaw Gymnasium.
The plans for Spirit Week are as follows:
The Upper School:
~ Monday, October 19: "Identical Day." There will be a special activity during lunchtime.
~ Tuesday, October 20: "Blast from the Past" - wear those bell-bottoms and groovy tie-dye shirts! There will be a marshmallow contest.
~ Wednesday, October 21: "Pink Day" to show support for Breast Cancer Awareness. There will be a pie-eating contest.
~ Thursday, October 22: "Beach Day" - sport your sunglasses, toss a beach ball, and grab your sand shovel and pail for this day filled with summer fun! There will be a Wheel-of-Fortune game!
~ Friday, October 23: "Green & Gold Day." There will be a banner contest! Also, during the Pep Rally, there will be a "Dance Off!" Each Upper School class will be forming a "dance crew" and the Middle School and faculty/staff are invited to participate in the contest.
The Middle School:
~ Wednesday, October 21: "Crazy Hair Day"
~ Thursday, October 22: "Crazy Tie, Socks, Belt and Shoes Day"
~ Friday, October 23: "Green & Gold Day"
In addition, seventh and eighth graders will be writing "What Is Wardlaw-Hartridge School Spirit?" essays in their English class.
The Lower School:
Students will be dressing in green and gold on October 23. Only the fifth grade class will attend the Pep Rally.
